Jakarta
Jakarta, (also known as the city of a thousand and one faces), is the capital city of Indonesia and is one of the modern world's largest megacities. The metropolitan covers an area of 740.3 square km. In recent years, Jakarta has grown more than Beijing, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. One of the main features which keeps the city financially strong are the many attractions of Jakarta, like the museum Bank of Indonesia, Istiqlal mosque and the Jakarta Cathedral. Considering Jakarta's small area, it has a very large population density, with just over 10 million people living in the city. It was also named as one of the Global Cities in 2008. The currency of Indonesia are Indonesian Rupiah, and per every Australian dollar there is 10913.52 Indonesian Rupiah. The most practiced religion in Jakarta is Islam but a small percentage are also Christian.
